ok the biggest difference right off the bat is that seals don't really have discernible back legs, they're kind of like big torpedoes with flippers in front and a mermaid tail in back, and usually sleek mottled skin. sea otters are visibly furrier and look more like weasels, they've got definite legs and paws and their body shapes are kind of squat and smushed.
sea otters also aren't adapted to moving around on land and some of them spend all of their lives in the water, they give birth at sea, but seals can't do that because their pups would drown so they have to come ashore to give birth.
[The response is immediate, before his brain catches up enough to remark on why the hell she looks like a harp seal and not like a pink girl the way she's supposed to.]
[Harp seal. She has to bite her lip to keep herself from chuckling a little at his reaction before lifting her illusion. Although the change is a morph rather than instant, it doesn't look wrong. It's smooth, like smoke.]
[Izabel nods. Terminology didn't really matter too much.]
I'm... [not a Stand though, she starts, but her lips flatten into a thoughtful line. How to explain the major difference... Iffy subject, now.] I can't touch Stands. They can touch me. Just...so you know. All you guys.

I'm also not anything special, as far as mirages go. All ghosts get to do that where I'm from.
Oh, well -- no. I meant it's not something I can do anything about to...fix? Once it's set, it's set until you guys want to, like, change the channel. That would've been super sucky.
He did a test to see how incorporeal I was first -- which was pretty damn incorporeal because of course -- but then? First try. Whole thing couldn't have been more than a minute.
...When I get this shit figured out, make me tell you who the ghost was.
I don't know if fixing it will mean I'll forget this conversation or...whatever. There's no way to know.
So I'm saying right now, even if I try to get you to leave me alone, don't stop until I tell you. If I won't do it, find a way to threaten me. That's what I'm telling you to do.

Whoever it was...I feel like it's wrong, that I can't remember. Not just because there's a hole in my memory, but because it means I forgot them.

They're cute. Girls like cute things, right?

[...wait shit, did she actually send that.]
I mean
Yeah. I do anyway.
Hey which one's an otter and which one's a seal because there was a guy I met once that looked like one of those but I don't know which.

Like at least I know he wasn't a walrus right

He's like this. Cute, right?

It's just something I can do. Ghost bonus.

So we have to tune in to your frequency, but once we're on it, it's the same as if you both were solid, like normal people are.

...Kakyoin's really good at it. I didn't think someone would do it faster than Giorno.
[Sex Pistols had been quick about it too, but they almost seemed like cheaters, being more independent from their user.]
no subject
[Not that he's secretly competitive.]

[MAKING A MENTAL NOTE OF THAT...]
And Giorno took a little longer than that?
no subject
[Which was probably a little rude but oh well.]
Not like I knew he'd be able to actually do it though.

[Catching all that genuine affection isn't hard.]
He just treats me like -- like family. He's pretty great. [An understatement.] I think Kakyoin's the one who's asked the most ghost-related questions.
