You're not built to look manly so rather than trying to look it, you deliberately don't and then fuck people up when they underestimate you from stereotypes.

Exactly that. I think in the end it actually works out a lot better for me this way. I'd fight anyone who thought they could beat me, but no matter how satisfying that is, it leaves collateral damage in its wake, and I can't afford too much of that.

I like myself exactly how I am. But it's tactically advantageous, in this case, to be exactly as much of myself as I can. The hair is just . . . well, it's about a third a joke, a third a trick, and a third something I wanted to see if I could do.
