[ The last chunk of that sounds like he's relenting when he's just dealing with the fact that Jotaro isn't giving him a choice in the matter. That's okay but he isn't sure about it.
He shoves his laptop aside and coils tighter around the cool box of ice. Just watching the curtain over the room's doorway, and listening.
Any minute now. ]

As expected, he sees a fair share of chaos along the way, but luckily he's traveling by air, and it's a lot easier to keep himself out of sight when by now he's learned to use ground cover and cloud formations to help keep himself obscured from anyone who might be below and looking up. He doesn't need to be seen unless he wants to be seen, and this time he doesn't. He's just winging his way as fast as he can to Ebony Threads, and he's quick to let himself in and shut and lock the door behind him when he does.]
Rohan. I'm here.
[And yet despite himself, he's still braced for a jumpscare — not afraid, but on guard against being startled. Maybe Rohan will let him come to him easily, but maybe he won't. He's got to be ready for the won't, just in case, so that he can control the situation if it arises.]
I'm coming back.

I'm here.
[ He sounds as tired as he has been making himself. He's still okay to look at but some of his Monstery Nuances are exaggerated. Rohan's teeth are larger, distending his jaw. His fangs don't want to stay folded up and have begun peering out over his bottom lip. His fingers are unnaturally long and the claws have grown rapidly with them as sharp as blades meant to cut shackled whole cows. His skin is more pale, but his eyes still shine brightly as ever in the dark. It isn't a nice look. Looking nice isn't really important right now.
But whenever Jotaro comes to the backroom, he will see one tired and forcefully shaken snake pathetically hugging a box full of ice. ]

[He appears in the door slowly, still moving as cautiously as he can in anticipation of what might be waiting for him on the other side — but some of that seems to disappear when he catches sight of Rohan looking the way he does.
Then suddenly it's all alarm, and vague agitation, and though he doesn't rush to his snakebae's side, he certainly looks as though he wants to.]
The ice. ...To make you lethargic?

Yeah. It was a last minute idea. I think it's pretty clever. [ Jotaro might have hit a good time to hang around because the Fog hasn't totally taken over yet. That doesn't mean Rohan isn't particularly cautious nonetheless. ] It's the most sleep I've gotten in weeks. [ The smile he attempts is... An attempt. It's a little jagged and sharp and quickly done away with in a hand pressing to his forehead. ]
I knew that this might be a problem but I wasn't totally aware that She--... [ He stares for a second and then looks to the floor. ] You didn't run into any trouble, did you?

[There, again, the urge strikes him to move, and this time he surrenders to it — just a little, just one step. His wings draw in tight to his shoulders, and what's odd is that he's actually giving off very little heat at all right now; it quickly becomes apparent, though, from the expression on his face that that's deliberate. Normally it's his instinct to turn up the heat when he's around Rohan, to try to be comforting.
This time he's doing everything he can to moderate it, because he understands how much the opposite is needed right now.]
No. No trouble. I just — I'm glad I made it.
[To where you are, he doesn't say, but he means it.]
I won't melt it. The ice.

[ He is VERY quick to say that. Too quick.
He does want to address that first part. ]
I'm glad you made it too. I knew the repercussions involved in aligning with one of the Gods but I didn't expect things to come around like this. If they are deciding NOW to have a war, it's a lousy start to the new year. [ Jokes aside: ] I didn't think that She would be so harsh from the get-go.
I... I don't want to hurt anyone, Jotaro. [ INHALE... ] Not after some of the things Josuke said to me.

[He edges closer again. Really there are two ways a comment like that could be interpreted, and given Josuke and Rohan, either one is arguably equally likely. Either Josuke said something careless — possible, though maybe unlikely — and Rohan ended up taking it to heart, or he'd said something true and genuine, and Rohan doesn't want to lose that.
Either way, it's curious. Not the point, but it's curious.
Maybe, he muses, keeping things on the subject of Josuke will help Rohan focus. Maybe his curiosity about the Fog God should wait, difficult as it is to abandon; ultimately, Rohan's well-being is what's got to come first.]
You're not going to hurt anyone. If it looks like you are, I'll stop you.
no subject
haha hindsight's a bitch when you step out for a minute and karamatsu's ripped in halfRohan's posture wilts. Throwing Josuke under the bus is his favorite hobby and while they DID reconcile, it still stung. ]
He told me that he didn't like how I'd changed since... You know. He called me a psychopath. [ Bottom lip jutting out, he takes on less of the image of being a scary thing. He's genuinely still hurt. ] You don't agree with that, do you? Josuke's an idiot-- I would never...
no subject
HA HA THIS IS FINE]I haven't had the chance to know you back in Morioh yet. It's not as easy for me to say there's a difference between back then and now — that's something only Josuke can do.
[He hesitates a moment.]
I think that sometimes you go places that I can't go. Sometimes you can go farther than Josuke would be able to go. I don't think that makes you a psychopath. But I think that's what Josuke worries about.
You're not me, and you're not Josuke. You don't have to make the decisions we would make. Josuke's made decisions we wouldn't have made, too. I guess I've probably made ones you two think I'm crazy for.
...You're not a psychopath. And as far as I can tell, you've never once stopped being Kishibe Rohan. I figure I would know if you stopped. I know what it feels like, when the person I love disappears.

Josuke says stupid things all the time. I shouldn't let it bother me. [ He sighs and shrugs his shoulders, pulling from Jotaro to flop back over his icebox. The tickling in his forehead as he said that didn't feel great. Euughgh... No biting. ] He screwed up hard a few days ago, did I tell you--
[ He really shouldn't be deflecting like that. ] None of us are crazy, Jotaro. The Gods might be screwing with things more but I know that the three of us will never fall into the psychopathic camp. If we didn't have each other, we would be in worse shape. Don't you think?
Thank you for helping me. Er... Us. If it weren't for you, Josuke and I would still be fighting. All the time. Constantly.
