yeah
that's what it is
you know when people ask me what star platinum's power is i don't tell them about...you know
i tell them it's self-preservation
that he's independent the way he is because his power is to protect me even if i'm not outright telling him to do it
so if you think about it that's not really a lie
and it might be how he developed time stop anyway
